they should look to the NFL, Jim Schwartz seems like a great fit for college but you would need patience as he's not leaving the Eagles mid season with a great chance to win a ring

They've already done the Bill Callahan thing. Getting blasted by KANSAS 76-39 is a road they most likely don't want to go back down.

Just my two cents...

Don't know anything about that - what I DO know is that Nebraska fans are frequently ranked the best in sports, due to the 55-year sellout streak and the hospitality and graciousness they show opposing teams. Just ask any LSU fans who have been to Omaha for the CWS.

It was the audio of him talking crap about Nebraska fans during a game I believe against Ohio St.
It was released right after Nebraska was upset by UCLA.

As an OSU alum , by default a former conference member with Nebraska, their fans are top flight. This is a very well known fact. Kinda like “Death valley is a difficult place to play at night because their fans are wasted” well known, or, Tailgating in the grove is awesome.

Oh, it's a Pelini rant? And you took it seriously?

True, it’s not. That said, Pelini and Riley were able to manage Top 20-25ish classes each year, and they certainly weren’t anything special. Callahan even managed a Top 5 class. It’s all dependent on the coach. The main thing that draws recruits in is the fans. Every single home game is a sellout, no matter who you play, and the fans stay til the end of the game. Nebraska fans are routinely named the best fans in sports for a reason. Then again, you have to remember that there are no pro sports teams nor any other major colleges in the state (unless you want to include Creighton) so that’s all the people have to support. Frost being a hot name will hopefully bring in a Top 15 class next year. If not, I’ll consider it a disappointment.

I don’t disagree, I think with a really good coach (and Frost is IMO) consistent top 15-25 classes are attainable. That is probably the ceiling though. I’m more playing devil’s advocate because I think you can get to Wisconsin type level in that division with Frost, which is really good. The old days of Nebraska running roughshod on college football are not coming back though unless Frost is the next Saban

Nobody's expecting that. I think Nebraska fans are pretty realistic. At this point we just want to make the B1G championship game with a chance to actually win it, ala Wisconsin. That's a realistic goal, imo.

Only stadium I've ever been to where the fans gave the opposing team a standing ovation. (Southern Miss, after they nearly beat Nebraska in Lincoln in 1999)

Sellout streak is ONLY still alive because corporations have bought up the unsold tickets in order to keep it alive. Fans stay til the end, give me a break......Pelini was right, fairweather at best!! There were more Iowa fans in Memorial Stadium at the end of the 3rd quarter than Husker fans. Look at replays of the game on Big Ten Network.

They should have applauded McNeese for forgetting how to tackle.

Word on the street is frost will be announced after the UCF game.

Also, they said linebackers coach so I'm guessing Tosh Lupoi will be D Coordinator and one of the Ruud brothers will be linebackers coach.

Just what I heard, I have no sources other than people in Lincoln.
