Update on the Nebraska coaching position

As of now, the plan is for Mike Riley to be fired on Black Friday. The current plan is for Scott Frost to be named the new coach on December 3.

I liked Pelini, but his schtick wore thin. He wasn't showing any progress, and his temper tantrums and blowout losses on national TV were embarrassing. It was time for him to go. There's a reason why no other major school has picked him up, despite the fact that he never won less than 9 games in a season at Nebraska.

I liked Solich, but he couldn't recruit and without Osborne's talent, it was evident that we were going downhill quick. Like Pelini, there's a reason why no other major school has touched him.

It's his dream job, simple as that. When you're born and raised in a state, and have the opportunity to be a savior for said state, and you know that basically every person in that state is depending on you, it's hard to say no.
