I've already explained the reasons as to why each of those two were let go. Did Solich deserve another season? Probably. But the writing was on the wall. I agreed with both of their dismissals.

You also conveniently left out the OTHER two guys we fired, Callahan and Riley (soon to be fired.)

To answer your question, yes I expect Frost to exceed both of them. I expect him to win a conference championship.

True to a point. If he had to right connections already in place. Just like a new CEO having to go on tour kissing big customers butts. Needing to "bless" the accounts actual account team in the eyes of the customer.

He'll be a new coach, and a new father. He'll have to go out, and put his face in front of coaches/parents for a few yrs before he should feel comfortable enough to let off the gas on the recruiting trail. Especially if NE is needing him to up the level of recruits. One thing is sitting in the 2/3/low 4* range, but to get to the high 3/4/5* range takes a different level. Especially when NE is so far from them.

It's been interesting to hear how his wife may be upset with him being on the road. I get happy wife happy life, but a man needs to still be a man when it comes to whats best for the overall future of the family. His wife is going to need be a strong woman. Old school selfless style. Not like many today. The ones that have been spoiled by cuck husbands. Old school women that understood, and respected their husbands need to go do what he needed to to support the family financially while they had to manage the family. Today's women have it easy too with cell phones, face time etc. Not like ones that their hubby's need to get to a pay phone or even get a stamp for a update letter. Damn spoiled. Ha.

I haven't heard that from all, except for from salty Florida/UCF fans who don't understand why he'd choose to live in Nebraska over Florida.

I'm pretty sure that he told his wife from the start that if the Nebraska position ever was offered to him that he was going to take it.

FWIW, Riley's official firing has been moved to Saturday. It was originally slated for today.

I tried to tell these Florida fans, from the beginning, to save them the heartbreak, but they said I was “delusional” and refused to listen... now they’re finding out the hard way, and yet they still refuse to admit they’re wrong

Espn has been pushing Bert to Nebraska/Frost to Florida pretty hard since yesterday.

I have a better chance of being Nebraska HC than Bert. Just relax, man. I’ve got this.

It's his dream job, simple as that. When you're born and raised in a state, and have the opportunity to be a savior for said state, and you know that basically every person in that state is depending on you, it's hard to say no

But but but... Gator fans have told us that UF is the better job and that he’d be crazy to leave Florida to live in Nebraska and that they’ll surely get him if Kelly falls through and blah blah blah blah blah.

My wife and in-laws are gators and as I was carving the turkey Thursday they were talking about it and my FIL said he couldn’t see why he would go to Nebraska. I told him I couldn’t understand how people can’t understand the lure of going home.

UF isn't necessarily the 'better job' IMO.

I think LSU ended up with Orgeron because of the way they treated Miles. A lot of coaches saw that circus and decided they wanted nothing to do with the LSU program.

I think Florida will end up with a lesser coach because of the way they've burned through coaches in the past few years.

Gainesville isn't nearly as enticing as Gator fans make it out to be. Like someone else pointed out, it's basically the Florida version of Thibodaux
