Freeman talk is ridiculous. the optics on that look horrible. You're just going to go snag another ND coach? NVM he screwed LSU over when he went to South Bend the first time when they thought they had him?

He plays a cupcake schedule every year and last year had the luckiest run ever to a NC game. He had nothing but luck fall in place with the playoff teams. They lost to Northern Illinois last year. That's historically bad. That alone should've disqualified them for their playoff bid.

I think he's a solid coach but incredibly overrated. The only thing I can agree on is he's young and can definitely evolve more as a coach over time. LSU has not shown themselves to be patient and that's just a bad look. His wife wanted nothing to do with BR and all of a sudden, she's just going to change her mind because of the money(which they're getting over there). I'm sorry, I don't believe a word you say in this post.

I agree. That Freeman talk is preposterous, and frankly I’m not sure if this guy’s source knows what the hell he’s talking about.

Putting all your eggs in that basket and waiting till January is a terrible decision. Dude is a troll through and through and no one would be surprised if he took us to the wire and left us at the altar.

I would think it would be signed, sealed and delivered right now with an announcement at his season's end...to stop thos very potential for him to destroy the coaching search of a rival.

we don’t have a coach lined up and could end up with a choice way down the line like we did with Miles, Orgeron, and Kelly.
I'm familiar with O and Kelly. Who passed on the job before Les took it?

Nobody. Petrino interviewed and it didn’t go well. Skip didn’t like him. Houston Nutt was recommended by Saban and Skip passed on him as well. The search was only about a week as Saban left on Christmas Day.

So Kiffin can sit on the offer until the Rebels/Black Bears/Landsharks season is over and potentially crater LSU’s program for the next 5 years by NOT accepting the job. Helps Ole Miss by crippling the Tigers. Yeah, I don’t like that at all.

lol no. There would be a deadline for the candidate to agree to terms and sign something by the sec championship for example. If unwilling to do so, we move on. They are also not just negotiating with one candidate. So if it is Kiffin, he would have until a certain date to commit or say no. We aren’t being held hostage.

LOL. You really believe that with the shite show that's leading this coaching search?

Again questioning new members of the forum.

Just curious, how many posts did you start with?

Did you not at some time have only 18 posts?

If so, were your posts irrelevant and a reasonable target for criticism or question at that time?

How many posts does it take to be relevant?

I spoke to someone with a kid currently an athlete at lsu and who’s business partner is a past lsu qb. Their connections are saying that there is mutual interest between LSU and Lincoln Riley. LSU wants an offensive minded coach and sounds like Lincoln wants out of LA

People here are so gullible. No one in the know is talking. Everything being said is pure speculation, lies, and BS.

LSU makes it easier in coaches who are motivated to win titles

We give them everything they could want - some of which you can’t just buy ie homegrown talent, that wants to play for their home team!

Otherwise, despite being a fairly poor state, we have strong booster support so NIL is not a problem here

A lot of names being mentioned could do well here. We just don’t want a guy who’ll screw it up.

I would be so mad if we got Lincoln Riley.

Yea I dunno how I’d feel about that. He has proven to bring in talent and coach up QB’s. Just passing along what I was told. Who knows, LSU could be having the same conversations with a dozen coaches
