Why do they have to be in BR to review the contract. Doesn't Jimmy Sexton do that?

Well, it can still be a priority thats emphasized without being a requirement. Sort of nice to have versus must have. Also, i would think he's drawn his own conclusions about Baker at this point, maybe he'd be open to it.

The only way it makes sense is if the Ole Miss ultimatum rumors are true (which would be very dumb on their part). But if they are telling him that he has to sign an extension to stay, then I guess you have to leave if you plan on leaving.
