Fedora has made schools like USM (12-2) and UNC (11-3) relevant. That's not easy to do.

It was always likely to be this way with LSU and a coaching hire. At least we seem to be past Tuberville being mentioned, although I'm not sure there's much difference in Fedora or Tuberville.

If the next HC of LSU is not Herman or Fisher, Alleva should be fired immediately. By firing Miles 4 games into the season, they should have a coach in waiting already.

Anyone with a straight head knows Jimbo is a homerun hire. It would be on paper, the best CFB hire LSU has ever made, pulling a coach from a P5 conference that is 3 years removed from winning a NC and a playoff appearance. Saban didn't have Jimbo's resume when he was hired at ALABAMA.

Barring a mystery candidate -- Chip Kelly, a genuinely "elite" college coach out of left field or an unexpected NFL coach -- I completely agree with this mindset.
Firing Miles and then hiring someone underwhelming would be a comedy of errors.
