Those are close wins against dogshit competition and a loss to a terrible Texas team. But carry on thinking Napier is the 2nd coming.

A close win is better than ANY loss.

Is Iowa State 16-10 win over fricking Northern Iowa great on top of their 4 loses?

We are going second tier , only because it is very difficult to pull a P5 coach from a stable program . No knock on LSU . Realize that some coaches don’t want to face SEC competition . If you can sit in Michigan State , and pull almost 8 million a year , with no expectation to beat Michigan , PSU or OSU .,. why the hell would you come to LSU , where the expectations are much higher , bowl games every year and competing for Nattys ?? Did ya ever think about that ? Tucker played us for a pay raise from his billionaire alum . He is in the catbird seat . Play the transfer portal , do OK , a minority coach and make 8 million per year .

Southwestern had a 95 yard kickoff return and a 83 yard punt return in the game. It was special teams that gave USL the V.

Northern Iowa took that same team to OT the week before. Big whoop. It was a COVID year.

Gerry DiNardo's 1995 LSU team beat Nick Saban and Michigan State. By your logic, DiNardo > Saban.

Post less.

Dinardo blew out saban. Why fire dinardo to hire him?

Dinardo beat Saban with LSU talent. Napier beat Campbell with ULL talent. Bigggggg deference!

Those people are Napier-brainwashed and lacking intelligence. They only think of one way, it's Napier way.

Yep. Anyone who makes a hiring decision on one data point is an idiot though.

Glad you brought that up… last year when that magnificent Sabanesq Coach Napier brought in the mighty USL Cajuns into Ames, the Cyclones had just came off an OT win by barely scraping by who? Northern Iowa.

So if you’re going to start shite and point fingers at teams and using a COVID impacted early season loss of an ISU team to promote an “upset” win for one coach, you better show the WHOLE page and not just one sentence. Context matters. ISU was not the same team late as they were early.

And Northern Iowa playing that same ISU team USL best to OT the week before COMING OFF COVID RESTRICTIONS.
Can you honestly admit that teams were not close to the same early last year as late due to practices, kids sitting out and restrictions? I mean, get some perspective. ISU late in the season blows the doors off this same USL team. It is just a matter of timing. Northern Iowa had their asses beat too.

Leon Spinks beat Muhammad Ali. Regardless, Billy Napier will be the next head coach at LSU.

You Napier-bots make me laugh. Truly. What on earth gives you yo-yo’s the impression that he’s going to even be seriously considered, much less hired????? I have a better chance winning at the lottery twice before LSU hires the coach from USL. Will. Not. Happen. Guaranteed.

1. Neither team played Northern Iowa last year.

2. If you’re trying to say ISU went to OT with Northern Iowa I don’t Get how that’s an argument FOR Campbell.

3. If you’re trying to point out how ULL also struggled with Northern Iowa, you’ve already lost. Because now you’re arguing why Iowa State a Big 12 team should be judged by the same standard as ULL a fricking Sunbelt team.

Was it either of their first years?

This was Campbell’s revuilding team getting hosed by a sunbelt team.

This was his BEST TEAM at Iowa State. By a large margin.
