This has been going around the Lafayette communities since LSU canned O. It was widely expected that if Napier took another job, MD would get the promotion. He deserves it tbh, UL graduate that has studied under the winningest coach in program history. Makes sense to me.

I think I agree. Honestly, Desormeaux is poised to be the next name from the G5 to get a look for a P5 job. Dudes a really good coach. Don’t be shocked if he brings his brother along for the ride either. He’s the HC a Ascension in Youngsville. That whole family knows their shite when it comes to football.
