Isn’t every coach taking a new job an act of disloyalty? Unless of course it’s a coach that’s been out of work. Idk I’m just not sure what he expected from all this

I ride with Tyrann on this one. I’m not that enamored with Lane Kiffin and never have been. It’s stupid to pay someone who’s never won anything the type of money you pay sure bet championship winners.

Paying them that much money turns them into coaches that don’t care anymore. Look what money did to BK. He sucked. No hunger whatsoever. If he lost he lost, he knew he was going to live the luxury life regardless. No incentive to win when you get paid ridiculous undeserved money. Especially for coaches with no championships on their resume.

Emmert didn’t give Nick Saban anywhere near “highest paid coach in college football” money. He took a chance on an up and comer.

Kiffin’s been around the block with several high profile teams in his career and has zero hardware to show for it.

Meh.
Don’t smoke your way out of a program and leave your teammates high and dry.

For someone who wants to get into coaching, he should really know how it works. He's trying to show loyalty, but Ole Miss became impatient and forces him to make a decision publicly instead of allowing him to finish at least the regular season.

Its business and you cant mix emotions. Also, it's not his fault the calendar is fricked. No one had the foresight to change it as they added more teams.

do wish we could fast-forward to about 10-15 years from now when TM7 is our HC

I love him but he better get into the profession now to make it on that timeline

That’s literally how hiring a coach works. What should LSU do? Just hire nobody?

What coach shows loyalty when they all have to leave their current team unless unemployed?

There are currently 3 title winning coaches active in CFB

Swinney, who this board would go nuclear over hiring.
Day, who this board also thinks sucks
Smart, not even remotely attainable for LSU or anyone else

No

Why wouldn’t LSU want the best possible option? This isn’t some friendly YMCA BS, it’s big $.

It seems like the media truly focuses on coaches that want to be at LSU, while everyone else gets a pass.

Screw em & win baby

Love badger, but didn’t he actually “leave for the girl down the street” on several occasions? Lol

I guess TM7 speaks some wisdom considering his selfishness got him kicked off the team and likely cost the 2012 team a title.

he very clearly explains why want something that is showing you his disloyalty. It’s a very logical question and fair to ponder.

Preach.

Let's get real, there isn't a loyal bastard in this game. Players, coaches, nothing.

The guy that chooses weed over his team, his commitment, etc wants to stand on pomp and circumstance now. Kiss my arse.
