LSU fricked up. I'm afraid the attitude that permeates this board also infects the boosters. "Were not gonna hire shitty little ULLLLL's coach. We're so much better than them. He sucks. He's not big enough for LSU".

Eh, Herman won’t be an OC for long, assuming they’re successful.

That was my concern with the Aranda/Herman combo.

Good for Napier, if true. He’s been in my top 3 all along. It sucks if he does end up at Florida, mainly because LSU coils have had him.

If true, and it’s a big if, LSU had better have an ace up it’s sleeve or the worst of O will look like the good ole days.

It's about the ideology/philosophy more than the actual OC. Napier giving up "his offense" is his biggest issue.

People forget Saban also was a great defensive mind who stabilized his defenses for decades.

Napier emulates Saban but Saban isn’t just a process.

He 100% is a toxic person. I witnessed it when he coached at t.u. i couldn't believe his antics. Outwardly mocked opposing players. A true POS.

You dodged a bullet.

He's a very immature person and he's not getting a HC job for a while.

Herman is by far his own worst enemy.

Fair point.

But it does magnify the importance of having to replace successful OCs when they move on if he’s going for the CEO model.

Just not something I’m interested in, let that be Florida’s headache.

Texas offenses weren’t great under Herman and they became very predictable when he took over play calling.

If LSU hires Aranda, I’d put money they’ll get Herman before Florida.

Yep.

This is a rehab stint for him. He better not blow this one.

I like how most blow this kind of info off. Florida knows what it's doing with this hire. They're not screwing it up like last time.

The biggest issue with Napier is him admitting he's not a good OC so if he actually hired a great OC out of the gate, that's scary.

Maybe if our fat AD had given him the time of the day LSU could have known he was open to this all the time.
