Timing of Announcement and Transition

My understanding is a coach will be named at the end of the month. This seems to imply a candidate is committed and will transition to take the job immediately at the end of the season. I think this may eliminate Jimbo. I dont really see how he can exit FSU in this manner. His domestic situation still seems like a major obstacle to me. Parents of special needs child living in separate states? I will honestly be very surprised if Jimbo is the guy for these reasons.

If it was Orgeron it would've already been announced imo. If that is indeed the path they're choosing there is no reason to wait. My guess/hope is Alleva has had his guy for a while now.

The timing of the announcement is a concern to me. It seems to indicate the person is readily available to begin working.

The job has been open for two months. I'm sure they've been working on these things, it's not something Jimbo would have had to wait on the end of the season to start working on.

Not to mention there are 2 games to be played against good teams. Don't think LSU would go with O until those are in the books.

The guy won a championship at FSU and is respected there. I dont think he is going to have his car running in the parking lot of the Florida game to leave.

I am a little confused about the push to get this done in November is all im saying. Whats the rush exactly? Maybe it hurts recruiting a bit this year but in the long run its not as important as hiring the right guy.

I suspect there is some specific regulations in Jimbobs current contract that may specify he cant just peal out of FSU. Im not sold on Jimbob in general. He is trending in a bad direction.
