I think this may eliminate Jimbo. I dont really see how he can exit FSU in this manner. His domestic situation still seems like a major obstacle to me. Parents of special needs child living in separate states? I will honestly be very surprised if Jimbo is the guy for these reasons.

It's called a buyout provision. If he leaves before December 31st its $5 million. After Dec. 31st, it's $3 million. They can't make him keep working at FSU under his contract if he buys his way out. There are no other "regulations" in his contract that prevent him from moving on once his buys out of the contract.

If Alleva doesn't hire his top choice because he's trying to meddle in the coaching staff he's even worse than I already think. Hire your HC, let him pick his staff.
