How is Arkansas a better job? Your titles in the 50s dont mean anything and both ISU and Minny wouldn't be shy about spending the same coin the pigs do.

Go grab the guy from Tulane and call it a day.

Recruiting base
Facilities
Conference

Why is Iowa St or Minn equal or better? Hint. They're not.

Until the last 7 years we've been very competitive to very good.

Arkansas doesn't have any titles in the 50's.

Minnesota was a power pre 1950's but they haven't won a conference title since 1967 and they have only won 10 games in a season one time since 1905.

Iowa State is a perennial losing program. Their all time win pct. is .453 and have not won a conference title since 1912.

I sincerely hope you are just trolling. While Arkansas isn't a top 10 program all time, it is certainly a top 20-25 program all time and is a better overall program than both Minnesota and Iowa State.

Having said all of that, I doubt Fleck leaves for a job outside of the Midwest/Big Ten country.

HOT rumor out of Dallas is Mike Leach.

Word is Cowboy owner Jerry Jones, Arky Alum, is engaged in the discussion and his grandson is on the team. Jerry wants “Air RAID Offense”, so who better than Leach?

Jerry has deep pockets and has family in the picture. Makes sense to me.

Jerry will have no input in this hire. Jerry is the reason we are where we are. We had no AD and Jerry took over. Not happening this go round. Jerry is also paying Morris's buyout.

Lane Kiffin..PJ Fleck...and my personal favorite Matt Campbell. Not that I care who Arkansas hires I just think Campbell is a very underrated young coach

Yet the only one you could get would be kiffen. Fleck isn't leaving Minnesota unless it's a osu, ND, Penn State or Michigan. STFU with that shite.

Campbell isnt leaving Iowa State to come to arky. Would be stupid on his part just like it was fricking stupid from Bert to do it.

The sooner you arky idiots realize you are the 4-5th best team in your division normally the sooner you can look at bringing in a good hire. If you want to win go get freeze or go get briles.

Lane Kiffen is definitely Petrino level slime, I’d say hard pass.

That wasn't an Arkansas fan saying that you dipshit.

btw, we're still a better job than Iowa State and can pay a lot more.

Gus won't be offered the job and probably never will be going forward. Still some sour grapes over when he left after a season under Nutt. Still sour grapes with how he ran his high school programs in Arkansas. There is a very small fraction of church goers in the northwest part of the state that would love to have him, but at this time there is no money packing boosters who want Gus on the Arkansas sidelines.

Auburn is just going to have to ride out that high arse buyout and then fire him, or hope Florida State comes calling for one reason or another.

Wow. That’s surprising to hear as an outsider. He’s a good coach and I’d have to think he’d be a good fit, but politics win out very often as we well know here.

Who do y’all realistically expect to be in the mix?

Doesn't change the facts of what I said.

Why would Campbell leave Iowa State after he built them to go to arky and have to rebuild that train wreck of a team in the hardest division in college sports?

Iowa State will match anything arky throws out. Can't win a title at either school so what's the point.

Fleck has a better chance of winning a title at Minnesota then at arky due to division.

Laughable

Good luck though ??

I personally do not want him either. There are a majority of people still in the state the believe he used his Springdale high school kids to get the college gig(which he did) and then bailed on them the following year. That in turn had most of the Springdale bunch transferring out. Williams and Mustain to Southern Cal. One other to Tulsa to follow Gus. Two ended up staying.

I wouldn't really call it political. Gus brought it all on himself.

Realistically, I think we end up with Kiff, Norvell, Clark, or possibly Campbell. I think the first three are more beneficial to Arkansas due to their southern ties and recruiting grounds currently and historically. Out of the first three I think Norvell ends up being the guy.
