should be Kiffin
Ahh Kiffin, not sure everyones fascination with this guy. Hes the only coach on the planet who consistently does poor at his current job and gets rewarded with a better one.

The correct answers are Leach, or Norvell and zero chance you even talk to them because you are Arkansas

Leach hype has cooled abit this year, as he's had a down year, but he is absolutely perfect for Arkansas and their kinda weird fanbase.
Arky is never gonna recruit their way to the top tier.
The Flagship and the Pirate, etc. It just works, imo.

Arkansas will recruit between 20-35 nationally regardless of who is coach. We arent hiring someone based off of recruiting

Here’s my thing: I think Arkansas is a good job. We typically recruit in the top 25 range and have great facilities and a loyal passionate fanbase, moreso than similar programs in other conferences. The problem is nearly every other team in the SEC is equal or better at those things.
Nutt and Petrino combined to only miss 3 bowls in 14 years and had three top 10 finishes. They proved that you can somewhat win here but it’s just hard to be consistent with it with our volatile recruiting base. However Mullen with MSU, Freeze with Ole Miss, Spurrier with South Carolina (until the end), Pinkel with Mizzou, etc. proved you can win 10-11 games at the non blue bloods of the conference. A good coach can win wherever. Right now we just need a coach that doesn’t get blown out by WKU.

1995 SEC West Champions 1998 SEC West Co-Champions 2002 SEC West Champions 2006 SEC West Champions It isn't always about recruiting. It is about development as well. The 4 seasons listed above show that Arkansas can compete in some years with Alabama & LSU in the SEC West. This isn't saying Arkansas will perennially be at the top of the West, but history does show that Arkansas should compete and with a bounce here or there, have a chance every so often to make the SEC Title game. quote:You are not going to pull a winning coach away from another Power 5 school. This would be a valid point if Arkansas hadn't already done such a thing over the last couple of hires. By all indications, Arkansas hiring Bret Bielema was a very big hire for the school and the league. The hire prior, Arkansas hired Bobby Petrino away from an NFL gig. I also understand you're more interested in trolling in this thread, so reasonable and logical conversation about the Arkansas opening is likely not going to happen with you.
Do you realize this is 2019 and next year Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU, Auburn are still far ahead and the odds Arkansas beat any of them soon isn't likely. Also other teams in the east also seems to improved as well. Missouri is not one of them though this year. Top coaches are not going to Arkansas to get fired like Bert did because it was way too much for him to compete in that division. Other coaches are seeing it now. Not worth it. Only Fisher willing to put the time and effort at a good location for recruiting and good facilities. Only reason Fisher went there and saw the writing on the wall for a huge pay day and knew he would be very busy slowly building a very good football team down the road.
Look what Scott Frost did when he went from a very good location at UCF and was winning big to going to Nebraska to losing badly and not able to turn it around like he did at UCF. That is in the Big 10. SEC west division is the toughest one to compete. That is huge climb for and coach that take the Arkansas job. Not going to be easy to do that now.

Lane Kiffen is definitely Petrino level slime, I’d say hard pass.
Are you talking about the real Lame Kitten?

That wasn't an Arkansas fan saying that you dip shite. btw, we're still a better job than Iowa State and can pay a lot more.
Maybe but the coach will be struggling and may ended up getting fired in a few years or so. Look at Nebraska! Same idea!

I personally wouldn’t mind worst case being fired and getting tens of millions but that’s just me. If you’re Morris you didn’t even have to bother winning a conference game.
Before the last 8 years (worst stretch in our history) Auburn only led our series 13-11. Under Nutt and Petrino LSU was 8-6 against us. Even our series with Alabama was like tied at 10 before Saban got there. We’ve shown with a good coach we can compete with those teams, we aren’t going to win the majority because they are better programs but to act like we shouldn’t ever win isn’t true either. Even Bielema blew LSU out twice, beat Auburn and came within 1 point of beating Alabama.
Maybe we’ll never get back to the point under Petrino but college football is cyclical and a good hire can change a lot in a few years.

Campbell would be an idiot to take the Arkansas job. He seems to be on the James Franklin path, and will end up at a true blue blood in the next year or so.

Fleck is not going to Arkansas. Fleck and Campbell are waiting on a big program offer. Kiffin would be a good fit .
