Everywhere this dude has been recently has had incredible offense. Gives me Bruce Arians vibes and wondering what type of fit he could be with the Bears possibly.

Ravens O last two years has been top in NFL

Mutts previously with Stetson were great.

Concerns I’d have are his age and why hasn’t he gotten a HC job like this yet.

Les Miles wanted to promote him to OC at LSU years ago but Joe Aleva told him to get someone with more experience.

He’s good but he can make some boneheaded play calls at times.

Dude is the complete opposite. He a stern, hard arse coach who takes no shite. Brilliant offensive mind though.

That's every play caller ever.

At times? He sacrificed the Super Bowl by letting Lamar throw 40+ passes in the AFC title game versus Chiefs. That’s not a guy I want in charge of an organization.

Is that true?

If so...holy shite that was a miss. Miles could get dudes to play tough, especially in the trenches, but he was stuck and stubborn.

Him and Monk, kind of like Ed O with Joe Brady, could have been an easy fix and caused some real damage in the SEC.

Well yeah...it's a given he'll never match the playcalling abilities of the Tigerdroppings posters, but he's still quite good when compared against his own profession.

I always considered him a dark horse candidate to replace Miles at LSU.

There’s no way we were hiring a coach from Southern Miss again, even one year removed There’s a little too much bad history there, even though none of it has to do with Monken.

Jolivet will possibly go down as one of the worst AD’s ever at LSU right along with Joe Dean

In defense of Miles, we did win a NC the next year and the offense was the most imaginative (while still constrained by Jimbo's conservatism) offense in Les's career at LSU.

Monken didn't really start blooming until he was under Gundy again, anyway.

Yeah, the Southern Miss connection that was a gigantic strike against him.

I actually met him a few times. I think he was only there one year. I was a student assistant in football ops.
