The timeline for Briles fits.

Around the time of this LINK / thread I made suggesting Briles to Houston, I figure Orgeron was asking for Allevas approval to hire him.
It fell through and we roll into today. Houston snatched him up because our admin is poop on a long rusty stick.
The reason it took so long from the houston rumor drop to now is because Briles was waiting for us to offer. Orgeron and Lane had already talked, and the plan was to offer Briles with terms that were already drawn up.
The plan was to make the move before Houston offered. It all adds up now.
Alleva listened to the worst of the fans and nixed it.

I'm pretty calm given Sterlin Gilbert is just sitting right there for the taking with zero baggage. hell his offense ranked higher than Kendall's in a more difficult division.

This actually sounds promising. O is actually looking for someone outside of the current staff, and Alleva only balked because of the Baylor ties. I only melt if it ends up bring Ensminger.

I think you right JA just keeps digging a hole for himself. Hell he knows so much why doesn’t he hire him self to head coach and OC. Hope he doesn’t Wiff on Gilbert. I think he is the glass slipper.

Alleva is more in charge of the search than I had originally thought. His hand is in this, and as long as it is, we might be safe from an SE hire anyways.

Gilbert and Yurcich would be just as good if not better hires than KB. Absolutely no baggage with those 2 and both are proven.

MOT. I would believe this if the rest of my info wasnt spot on.
Not only has my source, well in advanced, called Canada leaving, Aranda staying, and Briles to Houston. But has also made complete sense of the Briles Houston story.
Its getting increasingly hard not to trust my guy.

Much like Oregron for HC, the fact that Ensminger is even on the list is concerning.
