Wasn’t Hartline on the OSU team that lost to LSU in the BCS title? He might be happy where he is, or at least in B1G country.

He will absolutely (quietly) express interest in the job. You don't grow up in Clinton without understanding how big the LSU job is to the state of LA.

I'm not saying he would be my 1st choice, or even 6th choice, but I think you will hear his name a little bit. However, he is a Florida alum and is no question on their list if/when the Kiffin flirtation flames out.

I believe Nick Saban is who MOST of the fanbase wants! I KNOW EVERYONE with a brain understands Lane Kiffin and Brian Kelly are the same people in reference to FIT for LSU!!!

Please go get Alex Golesh before Florida gets him. He will be a nightmare for LSU if he goes to Florida over LSU.
If anyone on that list is going to be even close to Saban success, it is Alex Golesh, imho.
Please at least give him a serious interview before LSU hires another retread.

??? We’ve got a new episode dropping this week! We’ll be diving even deeper into the firing of Brian Kelly — breaking down what it means for LSU, the SEC, and the chaotic world of college football coaching.

In the meantime, catch up on our past episodes and short clips on our YouTube channel. One of our hosts, Dennis Atiyeh, whose brother played at LSU in the late ’70s, brings a unique insider perspective to the conversation — especially when it comes to NIL and the wild landscape of this year’s coaching carousel.

There's several good coaches on that list. It will dwindle quickly down to 3 or so candidates. If you only knew the future when you select a coach bc anything could happen: good or bad. I honestly thought BK would do better than he did here so you never know.

What about Larry Fedora as OC? I was doing some research on Frank Wilson just now and Fedora's name popped up. He's not doing anything right now.

I'm genuinely asking. I don't remember how good or bad his offenses were. Just remember he was "hot" at one point, but appears to have crashed North Carolina as a head coach.

Brohm would be a grand slam hire if they could pull him from his alma mater.

When's the earliest interviewing can start, and do tampering rules apply like the NFL?

Lanning or Cignetti would be the worst thing to happen to LSU football. Neither has any SEC experience, and both are arrogant jerks.
