My list would be:

1. Lanning
2. Cignetti
3. Silverfield

These are 2 names I'd forgotten, but yeah both of them are solid.

K State is not an easy place to win at, yet Klieman has them competing year in and year out basically at the Snyder level.

I like Silverfield.

I think he is the guy, but he's flying way under the radar.

Yeah, I like going young up and comer this hire. We need someone hungry after Kelly’s retirement gig.

Chris Petersen
he was able to make Boise St a national brand with nothing more than 3 star recruits. He could take a solid QB and make him a beast.

Think you forgot coach O
---contrary to most here, I still love Coach O but...if he gets back into coaching it should be at Northwestern State. He could return to his alma mater as a savior

Reading some of the ideas around here I'd add Belichick, UNC is playing better and his girlfriend would enjoy going to Bourbon Street.

Andy Reid is probably sick of NFL success.

Sean Payton hates the mountains and misses Louisiana.

Brian Hartline- young, players love him, talented, and likely not expensive.

Lance Leipold Kansas

KU has underachieved the last two seasons and will very possibly miss a bowl again.

Plus he's 61, and he showed his arse a couple of weeks ago complaining about tortilla tossing at Tech, and lying about a pocket knife being thrown.

As both a UVa fan and LSU fan, I promise, this is a terrible idea for LSU. He may lose out the rest of the year and he has never shown to be a great coach. 7-1 this year is a mirage and their OT luck will run out.

He may go winless in the SEC if LSU hired him.

Personally, I don't want to see another spread, chuck and duck offense at LSU. I want to see hard nosed offense and defense that runs AND throws the ball. Primarily have the QB under center, use play action that actually has a chance to be effective because we CAN in fact run the ball.

Matt Patricia - Ohio State. DC? Nobody is mentioning him. Not sure why.

He's in his first year as a college DC after a career in the NFL.

His only head coaching gig, he went 13-29-1.

Need more reasons?

If they hire James Franklin I’m not going to be an LSU fan anymore.
