Funny how he's gonna end up with fewer wins than O in his first season

He's really not a good in game coach at all. So many dumb decisions and clock management situations.

There's never a wrong place to call Herman out for idiotic in game coaching decisions, is there?

Not at all. He was a coaching change prospect for LSU in 2016.

Relevant to this board because he was very close to being the coach at LSU.

To be fair, Tech had been stuffing them on short yardage situations all night.

The play looked like it was there, but Ehrlinger made a poor throw off his back foot and the Tech DB made a great read on the ball.

O inherited a far superior team.. and won 1 game against a team with a winning record I believe.. let that sink in..

Herman inherited a team that hasn’t even been to a bowl game in the three seasons.. that’s a compete rebuild.. I doubt Herman does any worse at LSU this season and probably wins Troy.

Earlier this year Meyers said something that a coach should turn a team around in first year. Tom Herman barely turned the team around and he also had all those 4 and 5 stars players. No excuse for not beating teams that are not at Texas level. MIZZOU is a perfect example and he was on the same boat but with a lot less talents on the team. Herman have been a head coach at college level and he should have been better. I am very happy Barry Odom is doing wonders for a unknown coach with zero college head coach experience. That is how people should be evaluate a coach for a head coaching job.

Dude pay attention. That team is loaded, look at their recruiting rankings. Watch how many players on their defense gets drafted. Texas is a joke, Herman is a joke. 90% of this site talks out of their arse. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

Did you watch Herman's team when he was at Houston? He loses games when he should not have and he did get blown out a game each year at Houston. He should have won games that he was favored and some were blown out losses. I think Herman is not that great. I would picked Barry Odom at Missouri over Herman at Texas!

To me what was worse was the reason he gave for doing it in press conference. Worried about how the fans reac as reasons. I would link but can’t with this device. The pressure sure seems to be getting to him.

Only spot they are shaky at is qb. Texas has top 15 talent this year. Strong got some very good players in to that program that have played a lot of college football. 6-6 is an underachievement. Will Greer’s busted finger might have saved their bowl eligibility.
