I think the "inside sources" are secretaries and low level positions at the AD department and lawyers offices and places like that. They make some copies or send an email or something of contract offers going back and forth to lawyers, they see the names and the amount being tossed around and think its an official "done deal" and leak it out. And most are probably just different scenarios being discussed. By now everyone should know nothing is a "done deal" until the signature is inked. And nobody is signing a contract and trying to keep it secret because that would look even worse when it leaks out. When there is a "done deal", you will hear it immediately from LSU.

Couple things....
1) there are no real and true insiders.
2) they didn't go into hiding. They're still here, they just signed out and back in using their primary account.
3) when or if they pop their heads up... they'll claim their sources were spot on but something changed last minute.

I think a few of them may have some insider connections. But nothing to the effect of statements like “done deal” or “ink is dry”. They were probably given generalized snippets of insight regarding mutual interest and the increasing level of negotiating. Then some made their call as a prediction/opinion just to be the first to report (assuming it would break in the coming days).

There was a guy named 10Tigers years ago who claimed to be an insider about one of the coaching searches . Everyone wanted to believe him......he wasn't even close to right......turns out he was listening to Chris Landry podcasts......and was just para phrasing them.....and Landry was talking out his rectum.

It's comical, that when they post stuff people on the board bash them and when they stop posting, those same people on the board bash them.
Make up your minds. Do you want the guys to pass info that they get along that may be inaccurate since everything is fluid when you have this many moving pieces or do you want them to stop posting because you think they are just writing a fan fiction? You can't have both.
