People like to say LSU is in a great spot because of the lack of recruiting competition, but it's only as good as the connections you have on staff that can unlock it. Kyle Williams was north Louisiana, Frank was south Louisiana, big recruiting holes to fill.

I agree. I don’t think people truly understand the culture of New Orleans, it’s a different breed. If you don’t have real connections, it’s tough to get a seat at the table, no matter how much money you’re willing to spend.

I’d honestly rather see Jabbar at Texas than Frank. Coach Frank at Texas would make people absolutely hate him. Lol

Anyone remember the awful job he did with LSUs RB room when it had elite Rb after RB every year no problem?

You guys just say anything without zero facts... Juluke was at LSU for one season in 2016. Guice averaged 7 yds a carry, ran for 1400 yards, and scored 15 TDs

He's 31-5 over the last 3 seasons with 2 playoff appearances. How is that "winging it"?

Oh yeah because he got him to commit to Florida right? Some of you on here are huge pussys.

It is an absolute crime that his guy has continued to get the jobs he does, and also that he is able to make the kind of money he has. This dude is a fricking joke of a coach

I mean he’s basically a Frank Wilson clone but many of you aren’t calling for Frank to be let go.

They can have him. I think he spends half his time serving suspensions.

This high is ninety percent about getting a threshold in new orleans recruiting..

I'm sure this helps getting the kid from brother, martin. And helping with the recruiting at edna karr

It feels telling Texas passed on Frank Wilson.

He did bring in CEH but anyone could have gotten Clyde to sign with LSU. He pretty much ignored Travis Etienne because he was all-in on Cam Akers and ended up whiffing on him too. There were some negative rumblings about things he did on the recruiting trail after it was apparent he wouldn’t be retained as RB coach.

Great get for Texas. Would've been retained at UF had he not slapped that LSU player

Sark just wants a foothold in LA recruiting. That’s what this hire is all about.

So...you're completely oblivious as to why LSU only kept him on staff for 1 year alongside his recruiting? They were happy to send him on his way and he wasn't very happy.
