Not defending Terry Bowden or even saying its good to hire a guy his age, but didn't he actually do pretty well at Akron?
They were 2-22 the 2 years prior to him. He won 35 games and went to 2 bowls in 7 years. They went 0-12 the year after him. Looking back at their modern history, they've never been any good, and Bowden seemed to have been more successful than most of their coaches.
Who knows...maybe he can at least make ULM respectable.

It's a good hire. The program needs a higher profile guy. He's a good coach with name recognition.

Now they need to get rid of their Athletic Director who literally has no experience running a university athletic department. He’s a fn clown. They’ve completely alienated the Monroe community from supporting the teams. Maybe terry and the new president can figure out how to get more $ and support from the Monroe old money bastards.

They need to burn the entire system down, Admin and athletic department. They don’t care about building a football program, just collecting checks from playing LSU, Alabama, Ark. to update the campus and don’t care to reinvest into the team or facilities. The entire athletic budget is a joke.

Yep. Maybe he can bring back the magic and keep some of those N La kids from going to Bama
