Terrible analogy. You can go to Hotjobs.com without ESPN reporting on it, or millions of fans caring about it. Many people do look at other opportunities while currently employed, but their jobs aren't as high-profile so if they decide not to accept, it's no harm no foul.

The rumor mill has obviously gone out of control.
Miles is putting it to an end once and for all.
Until today, everything is was internet and talk radio speculation. This is the first instance of a major news outlet saying it was a done deal.
Les is doing the right thing now by ending it.

My brother-in-law just ran into Juan Kincaid of WWL TV and Juan said that the press conference will be about Miles staying...wow.
