What’s the big dogs of the SEC getting? I have no idea if this is competitive or not.

I remember hearing Alabama was only paying around 18 million which was low compared to the big dogs.

LSU doesn't have a pool. It's endless.

Also, dumb to put a cap on anything. Florida must not be committed to winning.

This is for NIL. LSU doesn’t have a cap on staff salary.

i found this:

https://www.footballscoop.com/2025/03/03/usa-today-releases-annual-assistant-coaching-salary-database

it's from a year ago but it states:

quote:

SEC
1. Blake Baker, LSU defensive coordinator: $2.5 million
2. Pete Golding, Ole Miss defensive coordinator: $2.15 million
3. Glenn Schumann, Georgia defensive coordinator: $2.003 million
4. Pete Kwiatkowski, Texas defensive coordinator: $1.8 million
5. Brad White, Kentucky defensive coordinator: $1.75 million

Highest-paid staffs
1. Georgia: $10.332 million
2. Alabama: $9.475 million
3. LSU: $9.3 million
4. Texas: $9.1 million
5. Ole Miss: $8.225 million

Big Ten
Highest-paid assistants
1. Wink Martindale, Michigan defensive coordinator: $2.3 million
2. Jim Knowles, Ohio State defensive coordinator: $2.2 million
3. Chip Kelly, Ohio State offensive coordinator: $2 million
4. Tosh Lupoi, Oregon defensive coordinator: $1.9 million
4. Phil Parker, Iowa defensive coordinator: $1.9 million

Highest-paid staffs
1. Ohio State: $11.425 million
2. Michigan: $9.384 million
3. Oregon: $8.225 million
4. Iowa: $7.9 million
5. Washington: $7.2 million

so, it sounds like the cap will never get reached.

i'm sure each teams analysts get paid out of the pool, but even then...

that would be wild. i'm thinking Sumrall's salary is part of the $16.5 million. so i guess we are poor.

Florida got a good coach and they’re letting him finish the season.
