It’s going to be Vance Joseph.

He said after the UCLA loss boosters were getting contacted about the buyout and that the coaching change was inevitable after the UK loss.
Hell, i knew the coaching change was inevitable after the uk loss too, lol. Im pretty sure everyone else did as well, and therefore they would have to contact the boosters in order to do so. I knew orgeron wasnt going to make it after the auburn loss, honestly. Saying something is inevitable simply means that its going to happen eventually no matter what. Thats not giving an acurate timeframe at all other than it happening sometime between then and the end of the season. I can say that its inevitable that you and i are going to die...one day. So, he said O was going to lose his job at some point in the future by the end of the season and that the boosters/donors were being contacted in preparation, which wasnt groundbreaking news bc everyone could sense it. Im saying that i didnt hear anything from him stating that his sources told/hinted to him about O being let go before the florida game this past weekend; which i would expect from someone with solid, reliable, well connected sources to know about. If he did, i didnt see or hear anything about it.

Why would he have his eyes on one person?

Ed said in his press conference that Scott came to him after the Kentucky game.

He was putting win quotas out there saying if orgeron didnt reach a certain amount of wins, he was gone.
Well when you lose to an okay PAC-12 team it is pretty clear that you are not going to make that mark of 9-3 in the SECw.

I’ll play along with the “white whale” deal…
There’s only a few coaches I would say fall under that subjective category….
Saban
Dabo
Riley
Urban
Gruden
Maybe Brian Kelly
Maybe Matt Rhule?
Pete Carroll?
-Franklin is a great candidate, don’t know if I’d put him under the white whale/showstopper hire category with these other coaches tho

Just sit back and think for a second. Take a minute to relax. Imagine if this “white whale” was Saban. Do you understand how legendary this would be? The magnitude of a hire like that would be bigger than epic.

White whale as in James Franklin, or white whale as in a big time coach who is white?

out there saying if orgeron didnt reach a certain amount of wins, he was gone. Well, that shite wasnt true at all it seems.
I TOLD YOU PEOPLE THAT. it is in my post history. the win quota shite was canned by woodward after he had enough of O. O was gone regardless of record. now we see that was true.

quote:This ridiculous is because the only "white whale" that would make all fans pleased would be Saban and that ain't happening. Anyone else will be a disappointment to some portion of the fanbase. Even Brady or Aranda might please some but even these choices would not make all of the fans happy.
There’s only one guy Woodward has his eyes set on at the moment and talks are already underway. So stop melting over all these ridiculous names being thrown around. You will be pleased once its all said and done. Sit back and enjoy the rest of the season, the “White Whale” is coming ...
