No doubt would be an upgrade, and as good as he is with QBs, you should be excited for that alone. But he comes with coordinator baggage, and was a point of emphasis with some of our people.

to be fair, this is going to be the fear no matter who the coach is. Look at UF. Muschamp was supposed to be the homerun of all homerun hires.

You just never know.

if jimbo really wanted to coach at LSU he'd be there by now. the ship has sailed

EXACTLY!

Jimbo Fisher and his agent are doing a terrific job of leveraging other schools to get a big pay day at FSU. Hell, at this rate he might leverage a 6-6 season to become the highest paid coach in CFB!

if you consider having to endure this year and the uncertainty that lies ahead, I say it was a misplay
but you just said that he will still be at LSU someday. Doesn't seem like much of a misplay if he still ends up in a good spot

and jimbo comes with fewer questions than a lot of other people that will be hired this winter. If he actually leaves FSU, it would be a grandslam hire for whomever gets him

That's just not very good comprehension my man.

So the road travelled to a destination makes very little difference to you?

I think Jimbo has gone the Butch Davis route. A lot of success with elite talent, but drove him insane and burned him out.

Which could total well over $15-20 Million.

No. It’s 7 million, assuming none of them are retained. This is according to an interview done yesterday with an FSU mod on a popular FSU board.

(But I think he’s using us to leverage for facilities and administrative changes. Our best chance is if they’re tired of his crap and refuse to promise him anything.)

They're looking into a new football facility, but he's pissed some folks off.

When you hang your hat on QB centric offenses and your only QB ready for play on the roster goes down- bad things happen.
The kid starting now is not ready as a freshman for college ball
