that is only if he's terminated by FSU.

if he leaves on his own he owes FSU the remaining money left on his staff's contracts if they're not retained (within 30 days).

Day-um. That’s an incomprehensible buyout.

If I’m Jimbo, I just start losing big time so I (and my kids’ grandkids) can retire like a boss.

Which could total well over $15-20 Million.

No, it's not 40, but it's still a massive chunk of change.

A&M Has the money, I just don't know if he's worth it.

I mentioned this on the SEC rant, but as an LSU fan, I'm even a bit cooled on Fisher. I really don't understand how a program that has recruited so well can tank so hard, with just 1 injury.

I mean, Francois is not the difference in a National Championship and losing to NC State and beating Syracuse by 3...I think Fisher has lost his locker room.

one, if you were Jimbo, you might have a little class and dignity

two, he gets the same money if he wins, and his kids' grandkids will already be well taken care of if he didn't make another penny.

You done did it now. Jimbo has a damn cult following on here that sleeps with their 03' natty poster stapled to the ceiling. They'll be here shortly to tell you about how losing doesn't really matter as long as you're their hero while doing it.

I'm not that big of a Jimbo fan but the same can be said by a number of posters on here about O. They have a few that will go to the ends of defending anything and everything pertaining to O. At the least the Jimbo crowd actually has a leg to stand on with their arguments.

The O pumpers are relentless.

Two wrongs don't make a right, and nothing compares to the Jimbo lovefest around here. Reading TD you would think Jimbo is not actually a man but a sleeping dragon waiting to be awakened by interest from a real football program so he can set the CFB world aflame by spawning the perfect QB from his rib.

I just don't understand this line of thought. FSU has been one of the 5 best football programs over the 2010s and he routinely out recruits all of the schools who he competes with who also recruit Florida. This year is bizarre, but it's one year that I think he has built up more than enough benefit of the doubt to cover. You bring him in, make sure he makes better coordinator choices this go round, and watch him win you games and recruit at a high level. If any SEC school brings him in he would be the best hire

I've heard Jimbo wants out but his ex has to sign off on him moving more than 50 miles away.

Heard he's eyeing A&M but would take the LSU job over anything else.

This info is the new "Sabans wife is looking at homes in Austin" meme. Very spicy

He misplayed his hand, badly.

With help from LSU.

But he will still win big at LSU at some point in the not so distant future, unless he ends up at a rival before then.

A&M and FSU should just trade coaches and waive all contracts.

A&M can have him if FSU could get Taggart

Yeah I agree with you. I am not buying that him coming to A&M is that realistic, but even if it were I have serious questions about how good he is. Do I think he's an upgrade? Absolutely. But I would have been going nuts if these rumors were floating around a year ago compared to right now where I feel we could get really lucky or it could be another 6-7 really frustrating years of hype with little to show for it

Well, if you consider having to endure this year and the uncertainty that lies ahead, I say it was a misplay

He lost some leverage for sure
