Then why didn't he take the 10 mil per year from the browns and part ownership that was "offered" to him last year?

because he knows he would not be successful in the NFL and his myth would be crumbled. he can't manipulate the scheduling and refs in the NFL like he has in the SEC. There is an actual salary cap with rules on how you acquire players which is non-existent at Alabama

He's made over 40 million just while being at Bama, you don't think he would have been able to pay off any of that debt?

So he's just sitting there spending every dime he makes while waiting on his bad investments to put him into bankruptcy?

no but you are talking about his Liquidity. All that money is invested in different avenues. It's not just sitting in his checking account. It would take some serious money movement and tax hits to sell assets to pay certain things.

Here's what I don't understand, so you are saying he would risk bankruptcy because it's easier to win at Alabama than the NFL, but because of bankruptcy he's going to leave Alabama after publicly stating many times this year he'd retire here?

Which is it?

Do you honestly believe he's $40 million in debt?

You do realize that there are several investors that share this debt don't you?

No, there are 2. Nicholas L. Saban and Tommy Spinosa's shell company.

Nicholas L. Saban is a personal guarantor on the debt. That's the magic bullet right there.

Recorded mortgages and public records are a bitch.

I'm fairly sure that's exactly what I did, although your reading comprehension is about on par with a 3rd graders. It was my back. I have not mentioned it anywhere else so your post is nothing short of blatant trolling about things you know nothing about.... Oh wait, that's what this entire board is all about. Nice to know that you are interested enough to come raffling through our "wittle board" though.

It may not be $40M, but it is big. Also, making $40M does not net $40M. He does have to pay taxes and living expenses, you know. Typically, the more money one has, the more money one spends.

Now that we're past that, bury your head in the sand again. The Pope is lined up to replace Saban anyway.... Greatest job in the world is in Tuscalousy

Keep dreamin Bubba.

All of the sudden LSU folks have Nick Saban (the highest paid college football coach in the country) filing for fricking bankruptcy???? And the saviors of the Texas oil fields have bailed him out and assumed $$$millions$$ and $$millions$$ of Nick's debt on the off chance that he will accept the HC job at UT?

Meanwhile, Nick & Terry are willing to bow down to a group of fat cat UT boosters for years to come because they hold his finanical future in their oily hands?

In a that case, I assume Saban will work like a madman for UT football and hold zero resentment, bitterness or animosity, hatred, loathing towards his superior's (boosters) - Nick & Terry will automatically kowtow to those rich bastards the moment he signs their contract..............

Perhaps Terry feels like they'd be more appreciative.

The man spends all this time with Paul Bryant Jr. for years, and you think he's on the verge of bankruptcy and PB jr. is just shrugging his shoulders?

Quit being naive, he's surrounded by wealthy people at UA just like he would be at Texas, if he needs financial help it's certainly available.

Thanks for playing. Your back, your leg, he goes, he stays,

The one thing that is truth, is Nick is leaving you boys in the lurch right now.
