Texas feels they're a big enough brand to get in the playoff if they put together a good season even without a championship game, and they're already getting all the revenue.

Dude, you are just spouting now.

There will be a championship game starting next season.

The upper 2 tiers of TV revenue are shared equally by big 12 members.

Furthermore, when aggy football players learned that bear Bryant was moving from aggy to Alabama, they went from top 5 ranked to losing their last three games in a row.

Did the bear suck?

I don't get why the something up has to be that he's leaving. Maybe he's just not as good a coach as y'all have built him up to be

It's not exactly like he has a long HC resume. He inherited a team that had gone 8-5 the previous two seasons and it brought back Ward as a returning starter at QB.

I don't get it either. He has been a head coach for less than 2 years. It's like you see an ugly girl eying you at the bar and your so called friends tells you she is the prettiest girl there. After hearing it repeated you start believing.

That's my point. As a HC, and all that goes with that in a P5 conference and not to mention the SEC, he hasn't proved anything. I think of him as the "popular kid" that for some reason people are just stuck on. Now late-onset puberty may be hitting, the acne is showing, and then his mom and dad get divorced so she's not coloring his hair anymore and now the whole school knows he's actually a ginger... the luster will be gone, sooner or later.

Another post had it right, if a pre-LSU Saban was applying for the LSU job they'd be in an uproar because he never won the BigX or a NC. But a 'hot' name washes all that away.

This is so oddly specific I can't see how it's not a personal story.

My favorite line out of all the posts in your thread.

I'm just glad absolutely nothing has happened at LSU this year. Could you imagine how that would turn out with all the diversity the team would face with rumors of a coaching change.
