or is his agent simply floating his name out there to satisfy the whole seeking employment clause of the buy out? I mean it is a little odd he didn't make the cut of finalists for the UH job, but Major did.

Older coach

Even though he had success here it's not something that can be replicated at most schools.

I don't think that putting his name up for every opening is necessary I think he really wants a job

Les brings little to the table other than name recognition.

I think he wants to coach again. He and Choctaw/Beefence are getting a rude awakening.

So this is a thing? Someone asked about it earlier and I told him he was talking out of his arse

Any coach with a pulse could have duplicated miles results here. Smart ADs know it. He's done.

But you will get down voted by the last of his true believers.

Not a good year to be on the market for the lack of open positions. I always thought he'd be a great fit at UH, but didn't (and still don't) see the UH/Kiffin mutual interest developing. I thought they'd get fed up w/ the "stepping stone" thing, but I guess not.

Here's a thought: if no college HC jobs materialize for him, what about moving up and taking a role in the NFL, say with Dallas? Him and Jerry go back a ways, and I honestly could see a role for him involving OL/TE/Running Game Coordinator or something.

Miles is a good guy and he can recruit. Parents trust him.
Some smaller school will take him eventually.
Some schools realize they will never compete for the Crystal football.

He is an incompetent clown who the game has passed by.

The only program that would hire him is a bottom feeder looking for a big PR swoon hoping that his name can bring in some better players.

This is the dumbest common belief on the rant

Are you suggesting that LSU will always win 8-10 games a year no matter who the coach is? If so you are way over-rating LSU's program as a whole.

He should just take MAC job and ride off into the sunset like Frank Solich.

Who was responsible for bringing in that talent?

it will truly always blow my mind how the guy just simply refused to adjust. He likely retires a legend here had he not been such a stubborn fool.

I personally think LSU had more to do with it than CLM. The 2003 national title for example was big for recruiting.

Guess we'll find out if this is true in couple of years.
