Southeastern football coach Lucas fired after 5 seasons with the Lions. He went 19-40.
Anybody know some options they will be looking at? I know Rodriquez is already taken by Arizona. And the defense was horrible by the lions giving up over 35 a game so maybe chavis is another option because he is pretty well known around here. What y'all think??

They should go after a more offensive minded coach in that league. Someone like a Leach, June jones, etc..

Dude, my mom will coach SLU before Chavis takes that job.

lawlz at you thinking rich rod, chavis, or anyone else that could be an OC/DC or more at a BCS school would touch that job

They should look at someone thats winning on the D2 level and wants to move up. There's a shite-ton of D2 schools in MS, AL, and GA. One of em has to have a good coach. Though, I don't think Terry Bowden would see it as an upgrade from UNA.

I'm sure he would take a 90% pay cut for the honor of coaching the SLU Lions.

These were some of the finalist two years ago during Nicholls coaching search. Maybe a couple of these guys or even our old coach Jay Thomas.
Jeremy ‘Bo' Atterberry, assistant head football coach/defensive coordinator at Southeastern Oklahoma State
William Hickson, assistant football coach at Liberty University
Hud Jackson, assistant head football coach at University of Central Arkansas
Jay Mills, head football coach at Charleston Southern University;
Frank Monica, head football coach/defensive coordinator at St. Charles Catholic High School
Tim Rebowe, assistant football coach at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette
James Spady, assistant football coach/offensive coordinator at Grambling University
Charlie Weatherbie, former head football coach at the University on Louisiana-Monroe.

SLU heading in the right direction after 2 good recruiting classes. Need a big time coach to come in and change the program up.

My sources are saying Kenny Guillot's job to lose.

How about you go look at those 2 recruiting classes and notice how most of the headline guys are not enrolled anymore.
Nothing about the last 2 seasons shows that SLU is heading in the right direction. I will not be surprised if they cut the football program again within the next 15 years.
As for head coach, I would love to see this guy take over for shits and giggles.

There's one call likely to go unreturned.

Is this a joke, or someone I should have actually heard of.
