There are literally dozens of coaches better than Miles. O being better than Miles is not in itself a unique qualification.

Miles' idiocy continues to affect this program. These poor saps don't know what a good coach looks like. Bring in a cajun baw who wins a few games and all the sudden "That's our man!" frick Fisher. frick Herman. Hell, frick Saban! Give me O!"

Well get used to 10-3 every year, and another predictable offense, Saban will own Jimbo. Give me anyone but this guy. I'm done arguing about this stuff LSU knows what they doing at least I hope they do. But you sir are a complete imbecile, utterly freakn pathetic person, being and a black mark on the human race. I really hope Alleva caves just for people like you. Hopefully it ruins your fanship with LSU because LSU deserves better then you.

lobbying? do you even know what that means?

expressing an opinion on a message board (or any media) is not lobbying. lobbying is done at the source of the decision maker. that's lobbying.

I actually hope the Orgeronites geaux too far and tick off some influential money power who don't want a decision forced on them or feel like it is being done that way. They pull strings to ensure someone else besides him is hired.

O would be a step down from Miles. That's not bashing O.

In which ways? The biggest knock we are seeing on here is O isn't an x and o coach. Yet, the execution and X's and O's have been better under O, so he's obviously been better there. If we're not talking about that, I've learned here that the most important thing is X's and O's. So the rest is irrelevant....

We played ALL BAD TEAMS!! We lost to Bama by 10 because of ARANDA NOT O
The BEST RUSH DEFENSE WE PLAYED AND BEAT WAS SOUTHERN MISS AT 69th. Douche!!!

one thing I am more sick of is the Coach O bashing and hatred out of people on this board
This goes both ways.

People need to relax. People are making jokes on both sides. Jimbo was bashed to shite yesterday. None of the people who are getting upset about the O bashing seem to care about the Jimbo, or Herman bashing.

Not that I care. Most of the stuff that is said is just people goofing off. Let people have their fun and relax. People like you and that BayouBengal99 guy shouldn't let things get to them so much.

I think when it comes to the administration, they might be seeing a guy who half the fan base is cheering for who can save them millions. I believe they're thinking there's no way things can be worse than Miles, so why not?

With the fans, they know how elite we are. They just believe O can do great here based on his interim success. That's enough for them to roll the dice because they love the guy. Just look in this thread. They get offended to the core when someone insults him. They love him, they love what he's done this year, and they're riding the underdog home town guy.

These things happen all the time with interim coaches. We should have expected this, especially when they gave the job to a Louisiana guy.

O is not at the top of my list, but eventually there is a spot at which he is the top.

O shouldn't be at the top of Alleva's list unless we get rejections from other more qualified coaches. Last chance scenario. Say what you will, but when hiring a prospective "employee", all I have to go by is prior performance. I can't "think" that he has learned his lesson at previous jobs. I can't simply "believe" he will hire and retain the right people beneath him to sustain success. Those are all a "roll of the dice" scenarios, at best. When my (read: Alleva's) job is on the line with a potential hire, you can bet I will perform my due diligence. I need to go with the guy that has the strongest resume. Again, I'm not anti-O, I really like him. But is he the best possible hire for the Head Coach of LSU Football? If you're honest with yourself, you can't possibly answer yes.

Tell that to the former players too. Many of them have come together to push Joe to give him a shot.
