I can assure you though, John Hoover will not be breaking the hire. I'm sure y'all have writers just like him, but he just grabs whatever everyone else posts and uses that. I'm not sure he even says "sources" anymore since he doesn't have any.

I’ll gladly eat crow if it ends up being Dabo, but I do find it pretty hilarious that OU fans are thinking Dabo.
Common sense, if it was Dabo, they would have announced today when all eyes are on CFB and basically get wall-to-wall 48 hours of coverage for the hire
It’s not Dabo, and at the very least if it does end up being Dabo it’s definitely not done yet or it would have been announced

I still don't understand why people are falling for that.
I said way back (wednesday on here) that there interest, but from the get go, the expectation was it wasn't real interest, and just using OU for a bigger raise.
His agent did reach out and I'm sure Joe talked to the agent, but I'm sure he quickly realized what was going on.

I love when sidewalk fans make something up in their head and then repeat it as if they got it from an informed source.
Neither Dabo, his agent, his priest or his rabbi reached out to OU. That is preposterous.
