How can "sources" confirm 3 different names in 24 hours? Journalism is dead.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Earlier Saturday night, SI Sooners inadvertently published a story reporting that Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning was being hired as the next head football coach at the University of Oklahoma. As of 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, Oklahoma has not named its new head coach. SI Sooners regrets the error

inadvertently published
You’d think journalists would have a solid vocabulary and grasp of the English la gauge, generally. Inadvertently means unintentionally - pretty sure the 10 media outlets that reported Dan Lanning to OU did so intentionally.
But who cares right? shite moves so fast that you can publish whatever you want and there will be no consequences because by the time the truth surfaces, the audience will have moved onto the next outrage du jour.

Looks like tea leaves are pointing to Venables which is an interesting hire.
For those thinking it was Dabo, at $8.3M, no yearly formidable opponent in the ACC, and top recruiting classes - what does OU offer that will help him perform better and that Clemson doesn't already? I would say that everything points more to Dabo underperforming his current situation and kind of interesting that he would want out.
