Seriously, What is Fueling the Irrational Meltdown?

Especially before we see what happens with national signing day and...you know actually seeing what happens on the field.
Sure, by "name" this isn't the best hire. But he's proven to be a solid recruiter. Has a lot of support from many other coaches including Saban.
It's almost comical how many people have said things like "we could have had Shoop" like 95% had a clue who he was before mentioned on this board.
I know this post will be flamed. But intelligent answers would be appreciated.

Yep, Saban is laughing his arse off....
Kevin Steele 1-31 in the Big 12 as a HC, fired as Tide Dc and fired as Clemson DC...

No idea what's fueling it. I'm just gonna wait and see what he can accomplish with a lot of talent. Might surprise folks.

i guess its one of the two
1. Realizing LSU is not the program who we all thought it was with coaches beating down the doors
2. This is LSU. You expect excellence in coaching hires

I was initially upset with the hire but have calmed down considerably. It was by no means the home run hire I was expecting, but I don't think it is the first sign of the apocalypse either.
I'm willing to give the guy a chance. No reason not to

Thanks for the idiotic answer.

If Saban is laughing, why did he rehire him after he "got rid of him" the first time?

there were six downvotes by turds about jamie keene going to a kid's funeral in lafayette.
there are a lot of sociopaths who are here.

This might be the biggest problem for some people

It's melting down because Miles needs someone to control the Defense.
His track record as a DC has proven that he can't - especially for longer than a year.
He can recruit better than Chavis - great! The thing is he hasn't proven that he can control the Defense at a high level.

Many posters are looking for any reason to criticize Les Miles.

According to BeeFense, the only two men alive that are infallible, the pope and Les Miles.

Excellence in coaching hires? You have no idea how this hire will turn out before the man has even coached a day here.

When have I ever stated les miles was "infallible"?
Are you a fricking retard?

Because he has been historically awful when in previous role as a DC.
Bernie Madoff maybe great at investing money, but based on his history would you trust him with your lifesavings?

How has Steele done as the face of any defense for an extended period of time...looks like he is 0-3...this is who we hired to match wits against the best minds in college...
I hate the term "the decline is real"...just don't see where we have either equaled Chavis' value to us or upgraded

Its perfectly fine to be upset with a hire that doesnt look good on paper. And it doesnt. Recruiter? Great! How is he at coordinating defenses?

That's just not true. He had one bad year at Clemson.
