What other coaches have gone directly from an SEC coordinator position to an ACTIVE Head Coaching Job (D-1 Jobs only)?
There may be others, but Florida appears to be the best track to a Head Coaching Job from a coordinator position. Very few got AQ jobs directly from a coordinator position.

Auburn:
Gus Malzhan (ASU)
B. Petrino(Louisville, Atlanta, Arkie)
Rhoads(ISU)

Alabama:
Jim McElwain (CSU)

LSU:
Pelini (Nebraska)

Florida:
Mullen (MSU)
Weiss (Kansas)
Strong (Louisville)
Adazzio (Temple)
Bob Stoops - (Okie)

Arkansas
Garrick McGee (UAB)

MSU:
Hudspeth (UL-L) (Recruiting Coordinator, but included)

TENN:

David Cutliffe - Duke
Dave Clawson - Bowling Green

USCe
Skip Holtz - (ECU, USF) (Position coach)
Ellis Johnson (S. Miss)

Georgia

Brian VanGorder-(GSU HC)

Neither qualifies, I could count Muchump and Chizik, but neither went directly from Auburn to a Head Coaching Job... They are both once removed...

Anyway, some of the ones I didn't see in the OP.

David Cutliffe - Duke (Tenn OC)
Bob Stoops - Okie (Florida DC)
Charlie Strong - Louisville (Florida)
Skip Holtz - USF (borderline - He was USCe OC, then USCe QB coach for a year, before getting the HC job at ECU, now at USF)
Dave Clawson - Bowling Green (Tenn OC)
Steve Addazio - Temple (Florida OC)

ETA: There are a few HC out there for mostly smaller schools, who were recruiting coordinators or position coaches in the SEC before getting their first HC gigs. I didn't list them though.

No longer ACTIVE (fired coaches do not count, if we did that we could go back to Dye)
