There appears to be a market for New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak.

The Seattle Seahawks put in a request to interview Kubiak for their vacant offensive coordinator position, according to a report. ESPN reported Thursday that Seattle wants to speak with the Saints playcaller after firing offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb earlier this week.

Seattle joins the Cleveland Browns to be connected to Kubiak, who called plays for New Orleans this past season after being hired a year ago.

Kubiak is still under contract with the Saints, so the organization would have to grant permission for the interview to happen.

That's not guaranteed, either.

It wasn’t all on him. Dude didn’t have a roster worth a shite after week 2. Given a roster with more depth he could be really good.

Jury’s still out but I would like to think he can be good. Not much to work with in NO this season.
Maybe the new coach will keep him for continuity? Doubtful, but it has happened before.

The opening script is usually very good. Like Lane Kiffin, he struggles with in-game adjustments, especially against good teams.

Looks like Brother Klay might be the OC for the 49'ers.

Klay is the second son of former NFL coach Gary Kubiak. His two brothers, Klint, the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, and Klein, a national scout for the Dallas Cowboys.

Kline played college ball at Rice University, the OC there, played at aTm with Kline's Dad, Gary.

Klines teammate at Rice, got a tryout with Gary's Pro team Denver. This is the story about how this all meshed. Klines teammate got to work with Payton Manning.

Payton Manning

But there's more, former LSU WR Tyke Tolbert, was a coach on the Denver staff, once the Head Coach John Fox was fired, he was taking his staff to their new job. The Chicago Bears. Tyke wanting to stay with Denver, got to stay, coach and get a Super Bowl ring.

The more you know.

Well hopefully his next job there won't be any injuries for the whole season.

I hear you, but come on. The Saints offensive roster was horrendous once the injuries piled up. They were already thin as is and then basically ran out a practice squad type of team.

I agree a coach should be able to overcome some injuries, but yikes.

No one should expect good results from an OC that had the players he did this year

If any of them get a HC job, they need to hire Kliff Kingsbury.

Seattle could hire the greatest offensive mind that’s ever walked on planet earth and it’s not going to matter as long as geno smith is the QB. He’s just limited.

I think kubiak is a very good OC, but with geno, it won’t be much different than this past season.

Why because he got coffee for Shanahan in San Francisco, has a famous name and had 2 good games to start the season? I know I know injuries and shite. Hopefully he can turn injuries 'off' at his next stop.

Name a coordinator that worked magic with literally his entire depth chart on IR.

He was shitting the bed before the injuries racked up.

No he wasn’t. The wheels fell off when they lost their starting center. It was like a domino effect afterwards. Even Andy Reid would’ve looked like shite with this roster.
