I just don't think the people who are willingly talking to the media have a fricking clue what's going on.

They are speculating like the rest of us

From what I’ve heard I think it’s absolutely weighing in to considerations.

At the very least it’s been negative recruiting against LSU.

I mean that’s a pretty stupid statement. I’m sure the guy wasn’t like let’s just see what happens. Also if the circle of confidants is truly tight lipped then Scott is essentially speculating.

If we fired O six weeks ago only to hire Jimbo after everyone else has been retained/hired, I’m going to melt hard and would 1,000% support running Woodward out of Baton Rouge with only the suit on his back.

Before we freak out over this, why is Scott randomly someone who would know?

Scott has been on the beat a long time. He would know.

I hope he’s full of shite because overpaying for Jimbo would be a fricking disaster.

frick that Jimbo Fisher consolation prize, participation trophy bullshite. LSU wants and deserves a top tier coach to run this program. We don't need some overpaid "has been" that is the definition of mediocrity.

The fact that he is pitching Jimbo as a savior for LSU football tells me he is either completely clueless or has an agenda of his own.

This was my reasoning for grabbing Napier, I always that it would be hard to pull a proven whale until the sanctions were settled.

Scott Woodward still has much work to do. For the first time, it looks as though LSU may have fallen behind in its search despite firing

This directly contradicts Scott W. telling people that he is you are going to love the hire. Why would he set himself up like that? I think it's been a done deal and they are waiting for the coach to finish out the current season. This article is trash

I actually think this is legitimate. And likely we are in bad shape.

If this is all true, then Woodward has dropped the ball big time on this.

What’s more likely, that Woodward is a genius mastermind who is playing 8D chess, or that he’s over his skis and is blowing the search?

This seems really weird to me. LSU is a top 5 job in the country. If an Auburn or Tennessee coaching search goes off the rails, that's not really surprising. But candidates should be lining up to coach in Baton Rouge.

So for the time being, I'm gonna assume Rabalais is exaggerating things for clicks.

A day of phone calls regarding the LSU search left me with one word: unsettled. If there has been a plan in place, it hasn’t gone the way Woodward and his tight circle of confidants would have liked.

We're supposed to believe that Woodward and his tight circle of confidants took time to talk to Rabalais today and tell him the search wasn't going well?

Either that, or Rabalais talked to someone outside the tight circle, who really doesn't know Jack shite about what's going on either.

But, rather than being honest about not really having a feel for the search, like Dellinger, Shea and Feldman have done, Rabalais decided to be a hack and write a panic piece based on total speculation.

People seem to think Florida interviewing napier one time and calling off the search is a good thing.
