If he does, it’s because Saban convinced him to stay as OC with a significant pay raise. Wouldn’t surprise me.

Well be shocked if he turns Texas down. Unless the rumor about being back in the nfl was true

Well if they're anything like our insiders, 90% doesn't get you what it used to.

Maybe Saban did almost take Texas job and let Sark know that he needed to stay away from that place, made it worth his while.

Don’t know why he would turn it down unless he has an NFL HC offer. This is literally the best CFB offer anyone could currently get, as tough a job as it is.

It’s believable because it’s the most Texas thing ever. Their boosters can’t help but overstep their bounds.

The only way he would turn it down is if he’s been promised Alabama.

maybe the constant of having to recruit year round would give someone pause to consider going back to the NFL. There are a number of jobs open that have not been filled.

Saban could be there another 5 years easily. No one can wait that long for a job in this day and age.

I doubt it but it wouldn't surprise. People have this image of Texas being this great job and it isn't. It isn't because of the board of regents. THEY run the show. It's why Darrell royal left in his prime. Texas should be a monster, a friggin monster but they won't let a coach do his job.

It's like LSU back in the day. Arnsparger asked for things and was told no. Archer, on his way out said until the basketball guy stops calling the football shots, things will be the same. Arnsparger couldn't even get a football only weight room built. A coach has to have autonomy and Texas is anything but that.

I hope that he's been promised to succeed Saban. That never works.

There's a couple things I can guarantee about Saban:

1. He's not retiring yet.

2. He's not promising his job to an assistant who's going to be ready to push him out the door.
