One thing worth considering is that O is in recovery himself. Could be good to have an accountability force on a daily basis
I can see this - same type of situation when the Cards drafted TM7 - put him in a position to use his skills and learn from the best, while also being under the scrutiny and being supported by a mentor (PP7).
The only difference is that Peterson(to my knowledge) didn't have the same inner-city background and issues as Mathieu.
But, if handled correctly, it could be the same situation.

Do you know how many times he's been in and out of rehab? When the pressure gets high . . .

Coach O: talks like he's one of us.
Coach Sark: drinks like he's one of us.

Guys, do you know how many coaches are alcoholics? We talk about it as if it's taboo. It's rampant in the coaching world. Sarks problem was his appearance in a USC function.....they had no choice.

If it were me, and I was O, I don't know how comfortable I am just yet with Sarks new found sobriety and whether it's really going to take.
I don't know if South Louisiana is the best place for a recovering alcoholic to live.

Can they make antabuse part of his contract?

Dude no. He was drinking before practice and games. He had a severe problem. He wasn't just drinking too much scotch every night, he was hiding alcohol around the football coaches office building.

Holy shite!!! I stand corrected. That's a little bit different!!! Lol

Whats the love with Sark? He had marginal records everywhere he went.

I'm curious as to what pressure Sark was under at bama besides working for Nicky? He was only a consultant and as well, bama has a well oiled offense & over all team. Pressure would seem to come from teams that are struggling. And his drinking issues go back, at least, to his days at Washington, where he did a poor job of hiding it, too. Chances are, with this profession being his whole resume', i.e. always under pressure, chances are this is a long term problem. Of course, after further deliberation, I can see where working for Nicky would drive anyone to drink. Just saying.....

Yeah, they even gave him a reprieve after the public function thing when he said that medication plus drinks made him slurry. Then, when it came crashing down, the stories hit about how the dude had a Patron bottle at the ready.

Can he coach power spread is the question?

Sark within 1 hour driving distance from the French Quarter.
What could go wrong with that scenario?

Potato stuck in the exhaust pipe (Miles offense). When we get a good OC we will be at top speed again.
I don't care if Sark drinks, as long as it doesn't affect his job performance (celebrating/drinking after the SECCG would be fine). Rumor is Bert drinks every night between buffet runs.
