Nice post. Bama was one of only 7 teams allowing less than 300 yds/game, 60 yds. more than #1 UGA. However, Bama faced 4 teams with total offense ranked in the top 22 - Ole Miss, MS State, Tenn, and Florida. One game against Aggies is inexplicable, but otherwise a top 10 Defense while facing top 20 offenses.

A bunch of trolls in this thread. I think both hires would be excellent

Even in the Texas AM game, AM had a kickoff return TD and another TD on a short field after a fumble.

Alabamas defense won them the LSU and Auburn games as well

I could get behind bringing them on, even if just from a recruiting perspective.

He actually did really well at his other stops…That’s how he ended up with Bama. So, that not a true statement!

Aranda was inconsistent also

So is Elko
So is Belk
Freeman had some bad games at ND this year

Besides Georgia who hasn’t played a top level offense with elite talent stopping good offenses every week is almost impossible in today’s game

Don't start coming in here with your facts and figures. This board doesn't need your fancy numbers or your context.

If a fan from another school says they aren't any good. It doesn't matter what Saban himself says.. he sucks.

End of story.

I have to ask - I see Cortez Hankton went to St Aug. Is he related to the Hankton “family” in New Orleans?

No you don’t. You bring assumptions and they’re always negative

I don’t think you’re really even an LSU fan. You seem like a troll

Golding is strictly Louisiana. Lock it down-great for recruiting. Hopefully not DC
you think he's coming here for a lesser job than DC? Lol

Great stat.

Monken has them rolling.

They are playing controlled football with stetson.

Brock bowers is one of the best weapons in all of college football this year.

Total mismatch. Lsu needs to find a player like him.

Hanktons been at UGA for 4 yrs his best recruits:

Cine, Van Pran and Pickens

Mickeys best recruits:

Marshall, chase, Boutte, D smith, Hilton, Thomas, Miller, Bech, Saivion, Nabers, Jenkins, Finley

Question...which state has better WR prospects?

If you haven't noticed, lsu has turned into a WR destination, which UGA has never been close. A big part of that us locale and aura.

I'm all about Golding. Don't know shite about Hankton. Need a LA guy that can recruit at a coordinator position.

Hankton played receiver and is a good teacher of the position.

Mickey joseph sucks at teaching the position.

He is a pure recruiter. Don't think those types are going to fly with brian kelly.

Let's just be glad he isn't bringing in that Del Alexander guy from notre dam

I already knew Hankton recruited Louisiana well but I just looked up more information and yeah, he'd seem like a hire with Golding to lock Louisiana down. That's not a bad play for BK. He already has the right idea.

Understanding the value of keeping Saban/Jimbo out of here is what you need from a HC because if you lock these borders down by itself, you'll win championships.

If you hire a head coach with zero knowledge of Louisiana, you better expect his staff is going to be recruiter heavy

Schematics are obviously very important, but if you can't get the players it don't make a damn bit of difference

What do most of these have in common?

Also, in 4 years UGA has had only (3) decent WR's?
