just not sure with fund being diverted to NIL from boosters and profit sharing coming up the schools will be as willing to eat these massive buyouts going forward.

there actually wouldn't have been a lot of competition on the market this year. pittman is probably gone next year, and there will probably be more openings at better jobs.

This definitely has an impact on universities who have less money, alumni, and booster support. As they say, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. If you're a fan of a university like Arkansas it's going to be rough until NIL finds a way to even itself out.

Pittman could have retired on good terms and been beloved by the fan base. But, his ego is going to bring the whole program down. frick him.

Yeah he’s not a long term solution, just a nice placeholder to get Arkansas out of the mess Morris left. Wild he will be there 6 years and possibly more.

The longer he stays here the more of a villian he becomes.

Beloved by fanbase…..or getting 19.9 million.

Unless I’m getting paid 19.9 million to “retire” I’d ride out my contract and move in retirement

I feel like Arkansas and Pittman could've come to an agreement behind closed doors for a payout and publicly called it a retirement.

That still might happen after next year I guess. Buyout will be smaller.

It won't happen. With Petrino out the door, no one is going to save his job next season. This is the best time for him to leave with respect.

They play Arkansas State for the first time in football history next season in Little Rock. They should fire him if he loses that game
