These rumors begin flying every season around the LSU game. Saban is not going anywhere. Anyone who slightly believes that he wants to change positions at this stage in his life is a fricking lunatic.
Saban is chasing Championships at the College Level. He loves the recruiting aspect of College football as opposed to the Drafting aspect of the NFL.
He loves teaching and building players up to be good students, good football players and good NFL players.
He has zero fricks desire to leave Alabama for any other team (whether it be NFL or College)

I would normally agree that Saban is done with the NFL but I think there is actually some substance with the Indy job rumors this time. A friend of mine who is an insider is hearing a lot of Indy/Irsay chatter regarding Saban. There's going to be a lot of staff turnover with a few assistants up for head coaching jobs and Saban would have a franchise quarterback to work with. Makes a lot of sense for him to go after this season. If he does go, just got to say thanks for 8 incredible seasons (out of 9) and for helping to transform the program, school, and community in such dramatically positive ways.

Why do you think the Colts are a poor fit for him? They have many pieces in place, and play in the shittiest division in organized sport.
I'm not saying he's going to leave, but this is a better fit for him than Miami was, I'd think.

Having a quality QB is more than half the battle. Plus, the division sucks balls, and virtually ensures that Indy will be in the playoffs every year. It's a whole new season at that point.
Again, I don't think he'll leave. But Indy is a good spot for a coach, regardless of whom.

Bill Belichick - at Cleveland he compiled a 36–44 record.
Additionally, the Dolphins have only won more than 9 games once since Saban pussed out. In 2008 they won 11.
Still don't think he's going anywhere. He's 64. That would make him the second oldest head coach behind Tom Coughlin, 68.

While I still don't think it happens, it's always made more sense that if he was going to leave Alabama, it was going to be for an NFL job. Leaving for another college job would be crazy. He has everything he could ever want at Alabama.
I guess though if you were going to pick an NFL franchise to go to, Indy would probably be the most appealing. We all know that the NFL is a QB driven league. While he has really struggled this season, I don't think there is a young QB better than Luck.
Money won't lure him out of Bama. Really, the ONLY reason he would leave Bama is if he is complacent and ready for something new.
