It's not that hard.

Or, you could continue to just be a giant troll bitch about it.

No ones buying that. That’s not happening. He is not getting rid of Tosh. And I don’t know how I feel about that.

Aranda did not defect to A&M last year.

He won't go to Bama either.

He cant. Tosh knows "where the bodies are buried" with respect to the Bama program... I bet he has dirt on errrbody in Bama.

DC under Saban is just an honorary title.

People keep saying this, but I don't know how true it is anymore.

Kirby probably thinks working for Saban was a good idea, and he's obviously not the only one who has enjoyed success coming from that position.

Good recruiter but I think he’s in over his head as a dc. And I think saban knows that.

we'll find that out next year imo. This year we were incredibly green in the secondary and LB core.

They're not hiring Aranda as DC. Apparently they want him to replace Saban.

What if Aranda was contacted not for the DC position but for the command chair?

The rumor goes that Saban has very quietly let the people that needed to know that he’s ready to move on. Some say to the NFL again, some say to Lake Lanier. The people in the know then went to Dabo and asked him to come home which he politely declined. After some discussion, it was determined that Pruitt hasn’t proven enough yet at UT and Smart and Jimbo are not viable options. Bama has always preferred a defensive minded coach. The two best out there that appear ready to take the next step are Venables and Aranda. Venables has some type of baggage from his past that gives everyone cold feet so feelers have gone out to Aranda. It would strike a blow to LSU and give us a promising looking new head coach.

Just rumors and I’m not even confident in the quality of the sauces but I have heard some folks reading between the lines and coming up with this theory. It’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

It’s finally caught up with Saban being a total fricking a-hole to assitants that resulted in a lack of continuity. I love that Bama got cooked and their asses are pumping out propaganda to settle the Melt. That Bama team quit. All the shady shite they pulled and ended up getting bullied and dry humped all over Levi Stadium. Poetic

This is just a typical Saban play... only thing he forced was Sexton to find Kiffin a job to keep him out of Baton Rouge. Let the midget sweat this out especially him whiffing on Sopsher

Compare the number of coordinators that have moved up to HC positions while coaching under Saban with those at LSU.

Meh. Not apples to oranges. Bama has had a few good OCs during a stretch when LSU hasn’t. But DC is a different story.

The last DC who wanted to move up did. That was Bo Pelini. Chavis easily could have at his height here or at UT. He has made it clear that he didn’t want to. Steele...whatever.

Obviously, Aranda can move up when and if he wants. He can do that just as easily from LSU as he can from Bama. The people who are doing the hiring already know who he is. If he put the word out through his agent that he is looking, then he would get offers.

They're delusional and grasping at straws.

The beginning stage of a crumbling empire.

I am going to enjoy watching it burn.

I highly doubt they'd replace Lord Saban with a guy that has no HC experience whatsoever.

A big part of what makes Saban so successful is that he has total control over the entire program. Everything that everyone does, from the administration to the waterboys, is under his strict rule. Aranda may someday pan out to be one hell of an HC, but I doubt they'd task him with keeping their machine running at this point in his career.

I do too. I just found their delusion amusing so I thought I'd share it.

Pruitt hasn't proven himself but Venables and Aranda have? Sounds like whoever wrote that is making it up as they go.
