and learn how to be a HC from the GOAT HC?

Reading the rant the past few days I learned Saban is a great recruiter but an average coach, so I thought they earned it.

Pardon my error.

I bet saban leaked it to the blogger.. create doubt.. similar to what happened last year with Corey Raymond. They have to close the Amite deal and are desperate

That's a giant part of being the GOAT HC though.

But the average coach is an anchor that changes the acronym to the animal.

What would be an even better move is lose Aranda and go get Venable. Then say thanks Saban see you in the fall. You want see a leprechaun have a cornea I think that would do it.

Again, his contract won’t allow it.

Saban really wants a guy whose defense gave up 106 points the last two games of the season?

You sure about that claim? Because I am sure you are wrong.

Also pretty darn easy to score from the 25 after 60 minutes of football against a weary and depleted (injuries, suspensions) defense.

Even if this were true, it's only to keep Aranda away from LSU, not to get him to Bama. Everyone knows Saban runs his own defense with an iron fist. DC under Saban is just an honorary title.

You can't be serious. Total autonomy at LSU compared to working under the biggest asswhole in CFB?

Compare the number of coordinators that have moved up to HC positions while coaching under Saban with those at LSU.

Doesn’t he have a clause in his contract that restricts him from going to another sec school? . Don’t think so unless it was added in after Jimbo made his push

There is something about him not being able to take a job within 500 miles. I’m pretty sure it’s 500.

within 500 miles triggers 40% buyout. that's it.

Again I ask. Why would Aranda who is a defensive guru go work for a head coach who is a defensive guru?

maybe he thinks he can learn more and expand his knowledge? like it or not but working at alabama presents a lot of prestige too. or there could be things behind the scenes we just don't know about. i don't think he leaves but i'm not going to act like it's impossible. in the end these coaches are hired guns.
