As for “rumored” names, I’d bet everything I have that Kiffin will not be the next head coach, because he won’t. Nobody with any sense is hiring a large child to run a program like LSU, no matter how good he is at calling plays on offense.
I’d probably feel pretty safe about Aranda not being the coach either; his resume is WAY lacking in experience as a successful head coach at this time. He would be an emergency hire if anything, and even then it feels like an awkward fit.

Not sure I would completely rule anyone else out, though I have my doubts about Riley. That’s a tough pull and the timing is bad.
