Rumor: Jon Gruden calling family meeting to discuss possibility of accepting Tennessee job

The rumor suggests that Gruden wants to discuss what taking the head coaching position at Tennessee would mean for his family, especially his son and his wife, Cindy, who is a Tennessee alum.
Obviously, the family’s strong ties to UT have linked the former Super Bowl winning coach to the expected upcoming vacancy, but his performance on the job would likely have an impact on that relationship.
As we’ve seen with Butch Jones this season, bad coaching can create hostility with the passionate SEC fan base. That’s why Gruden would likely want to see how his son feels about having his father face potential scrutiny while he attends the university.

Considering he's getting paid 6.5 million to work as an analyst, I'm surprised he's not riding that out until they don't want to re-sign him anymore. That's a ton of money for an easy job.

I'll say this: If this is just the author making shite up he deserves to be kicked in the dick. Young Gruden doesn't need to hear it from everyone on campus if his dad decides not to come. Even if it's true, I'm not comfortable with idea of him getting singled out like this.

This is the yearly rumor mill job that gets "confirmed" a million times and never actually happens.

The NFL is not gonna just ditch MNF
If anything they'll move it to another network and try to keep guys like Gruden around for stability. Expect him to get a raise out of this.

Pretty sure a guy that makes 6.5 million isn't having his son drive home. I'd bet a private jet got him there.
And why wouldnt you want face to face sit down with family? Seems like families are taking the easy way out these days and giving us shitty skinny jeans and guys that want to dress like girls.
