Want to go through Nick Saban's record at Michigan State the year before he was hired? They gave up 52 and 40 to Perdue and Wisconsin. The year before that he lost 6 games including to Colorado State.
Eh, Purdue had Drew Brees, and Wisconsin was on their way to the Rose Bowl with Ron Dayne. I think Colorado State was favored in their game too. They were all probably better than Michigan this year.
Anyway, that's all irrelevant. I don't think Fleck's family situation has changed any since he moved to Minnesota, and he's a Midwestern guy, so I doubt he's looking to run off to somewhere like LSU now.

I would like fleck. Like I said in another thread, if lsu has to burn it all down due to title ix might as well bring in someone who knows how to rebuild a program. He would definitely need someone on the staff with Louisiana ties to recruiting though. I think his midwest ties could really help out LSU in recruiting o linemen as well.

Can you imagine what it would be like to have to hear that row the boat bull crap for four years. I dont ever want to see a coach that has a gimmick, I dont even like the days labeled like O does....just go get good at football.
Yeah, that stuff is ok for a bit, but year after year?

I mean I guess it works to some degree considering he took two teams in the gutter and changed them to winners.

Why does it matter if it works? His players seem to buy in and he is having success.

We would be rowing the boat for more than 4 years, try 20 with fleck rowing the boat past our current golden age.

He would be fantastic here. Was like 11-2 last year with 2 and 3 stars.
okay, so let's hire him, and when we get good enough, fire him for a coach that can recruit and win with 4 and 5 stars

Some LSU fans are the most neurotic backstabbing folks I have ever seen.

The “Row the boat” schtick isn’t going to fly at a place like LSU, especially after this debacle of a season.
Ah, so "one team, one hortbeat" is so much better?

2-3 head coach this year at Minnesota is just what we need...
O could never win 11 games anywhere unless you gave him the best talent in the nation.

Dude took two either awful or mediocre programs that can't recruit for shite to double digit wins within 4 years both times. He rebuilds programs and is a DAMN good coach.
He also has never shown to be able to sustain a program and I don't think he is a fit culturally for the SEC in general but especially at LSU.

Much better. Less cringey. And literally won a championship with it, so yeah.

The last time LSU took a Midwest coach that had. No cultural fit to the south, he became the greatest coach ever at LSU and then Bama.
It’s time to row that boat
