If Riley was a smokescreen, it would make more sense to be Dabo. Manageable buyout, coaching at a historic doormat in a dying conference. Surely Clemson would match whatever we offered, but Woodward could make a convincing case anyway.

I got to say if Riley truly is a smokescreen it’s one of the greatest smokescreens in sports history. They way both parties let it fester for so long when none of it had merit would be astonishing. That said, it can’t be a smokescreen at this point, nobody would be that tight-lipped
