I don’t know if this is true but Rhule would be the perfect hire for A&M. He can recruit the state and knows the area well, has been successful at every college stop, and went to Penn State which has a similarly culty culture. He’d fit right in.

Named what? Named where?

If you mean he'll be getting a name, seems like he already has one.

So having a 5-6 year (probably 5-7) and blowing many games gets you a top 10 job?

Btw he went 0-11 against ranked teams at Baylor

I know A&M has money but, Rhule currently has a $75 million deal and has a $7 million buyout owed to Nebraska. That's $82 million and Rhule is just breaking even.

What's the top 10 job? It certainly isn't A&M or Mississippi State.

Rhule averages 5 wins a year and people think he is an actual coach.

Don’t look at trends much, do you?

Rhule would be a great coach for a&m.

He would at least recruit well and keep them solid. Win at least 8 games most years and 10 some. I don't think he is elite.

10-4
10-4 last 2 years at temple.

Then he turned Baylor around at 7-6 and then 11-3.

Didn't realize he makes 9.85 mil at nebraska.

His team just screwed the pooch and missed a chance to go to overtime against a 9-2 Iowa team.

Could be. I think he’s a great coach, but he’s been a program rebuilder everywhere he’s been so far. A&M expects more than Temple and Baylor and more than PSU did while he was there on the heels of their big scandal.

It will a different kind of assignment for sure, if he’s really the hire. We also haven’t seen him stick around anywhere for long to this point. None of that means he wouldn’t work out, though.

I don't know why y'all think Rhule would be so great at A&M. You got to score in the SEC. Who will be the OC?

The last high profile coach they hired coming off a 5 win season worked out just fine for me as an lsu fan
